They are being marketed as high-end second home and retirement communities. HHI will leverage this exposure while focusing its investments in a more established development called Rumbling Bald Resort. The resort development has two golf courses, a spa, a marina, and lake access. HHI feels the resort properties offer the greatest value and return to our members. Its unique rural private setting and location means little other direct rental competition from hotels or other nearby development. If you want to stay at or near the resort to use the before mentioned amenities, there are limited options. This will keep both rental and occupancy rates high. By focusing on investments in Rumbling Bald Resort, this creates the opportunity to attract summer family vacation rentals will allow members to recoup operating and financing costs during slow times in the real estate market while also being able to hold on to these investments and realize asset appreciation. In other words, it gives HHI the flexibility to sell when it is a seller’s market and to buy properties and hold them during a buyer’s market.
